African Transformation is a set of participatory activities designed to foster gender equity in communities and societies. Sessions enable women and men to explore how gender norms and roles operate in their lives, and transform those they determine to have a negative effect while reinforcing those they deem positive, particularly in terms of HIV prevention.
African Transformation was originally developed under different projects in Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi, but all of the available models focused on HIV. SSDI-Communication added two new modules to the set, focusing on malaria and safe motherhood. You can view the videos below.
