Tools to Build Better Programs: A Practical Workshop
Having the knowledge you need to do your job is critical to improving global health and development outcomes. But having the tools to help you apply that knowledge is just as crucial.
On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, K4Health is sponsoring "Tools to Build Better Programs: A Practical Workshop" for mid-level managers and junior program staff in global development to focus on a series of knowledge management (KM) tools and approaches that will leave participants able to integrate KM into the work they are currently doing.
In this half-day, hands-on workshop, attendees will pre-register for a facilitated morning session, choosing from a selection of six options. Each session will be organized around a key KM resource or approach as K4Health staff lead participants through a presentation and interactive activities. In the afternoon, participants will attend a fast-paced Knowledge Management Café, rotating through a variety of trusted KM approaches.
Each participant will leave the workshop understanding how to effectively use a K4Health-authored KM resource, such as Building Better Programs, Content Adaptation Guide, or GHKC Indicator Library, and go home with a printed set of resource materials. They will also understand how to weave a KM approach (e.g., storytelling, digital health for KM) into current or upcoming programs.
