Sara Semelka

AIDS Foundation of Chicago/National Female Condom Coalition | Program Manager

Sara Semelka is a program manager at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, working on training and educating community members and providers about new prevention technologies. She is the project manager for the Illinois Getting to Zero project, and contributes to the National Female Condom Coalition and Project Ready, Set PrEP! Her work on these projects at AFC has taken her around the state of Illinois and throughout country advocating for increased access to female condoms, PrEP and expanded prevention options for people of all genders, with a focus on women, both cisgender and transgender. In 2014, she was a recipient of the Windy City Times’ “30 Under 30” award. She received her master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Missouri’s Truman School of Public Affairs in 2011.
