Ruwaida Salem

CCP | Associate Managing Editor, Global Health: Science and Practice

Ruwaida Salem, MPH, has more than 10 years of experience in the global health field as an editor, writer, and content strategist for both scholarly and web-based publications for health care professionals. She has worked with the Center for Communication Programs (CCP) since 2001, where she currently is Associate Managing Editor of the Global Health: Science and Practice (GHSP) journal published by the K4Health Project and USAID. In her role at GHSP, Ms. Salem works with authors to edit their accepted papers before publication in addition to developing and refining the journal’s editorial procedures, policies, guidelines, and strategies. She also is Science Editor and content strategist for the K4Health Knowledge Management Unit. Prior to joining CCP, Ms. Salem worked in Palestine at Birzeit University, where she assisted in planning, implementing, and analyzing results of research studies on women’s health topics. Ms. Salem received her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
