Kavita Nanda

FHI 360 | Senior Medical Scientist, Contraceptive Technology Innovation Department

Kavita Nanda is a senior medical scientist in the Contraceptive Technology Innovation Department at FHI360, and a consulting Associate in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. Her research focuses on contraception, HIV prevention, and the intersection between HIV and contraception globally. Since joining FHI360 in 1998, she has been principal investigator for several studies, including clinical trials of new contraceptive methods and studies evaluating the safety of hormonal contraceptives among HIV infected women. Dr. Nanda received her MD from Albany Medical College, completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University, and Master’s degree in Health Sciences from Duke University’s Clinical Research Training Program. Dr. Nanda is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
