FHI 360 | Technical Advisor, Contraceptive Technology Innovation

Kate Rademacher has more than 15 years of experience in family planning program design, management, and evaluation. With FHI 360 since 2008, she currently works in the Contraceptive Technology Innovation department, where she supports the development and introduction of new, long-acting contraceptives for low-resource settings. This includes serving as project director for the Gates-funded Learning about Expanded Access and Potential of the LNG-IUS (LEAP LNG-IUS) initiative, which will generate evidence to help determine if and how expanded access to the levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) could increase contraceptive use and continuation rates in sub-Saharan Africa. Kate’s other areas of technical expertise include integration of postpartum family planning and child immunization services and reducing medical barriers to family planning provision, including for non-menstruating women.
