Kate Gilles

PRB | Senior Policy Analyst

Kate Gilles is a senior policy analyst at PRB with expertise in sexual health, gender, and youth issues, including gender norm change and male involvement in reproductive health. Ms. Gilles serves as PRB’s youth focal person and is extensively involved in PRB’s gender program and activities. She participates in the development of ENGAGE presentations, interactive infographics, and other innovative approaches to data visualization. Prior to her time at PRB, Ms. Gilles worked at FHI 360, first on behavioral interventions to promote contraceptive use and then on HIV/AIDS clinical trial operations, and at the Guttmacher Institute.  Ms. Gilles conducted field work focused on improving HIV services in Malawi, has authored or co-authored numerous articles and presentations, and has experience in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in International Relations from Wesleyan University.
