Ashley Schmidt

MCSP/JSI | Senior Program Officer

Ashley Schmidt is a Senior Program Officer for the USAID-funded Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP) where she provides technical support to the Child Health Team and programmatic support to country teams in Myanmar and Rwanda. Ashley has over seven years of experience managing complex global health programs, building advocacy efforts, and providing consultancy services. She has worked across the spectrum with non-profits, foundations, governments, and multi-laterals (including WHO and PAHO) in global health and development. Ashley holds a Master’s of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She was a Global Policy Fellow in 2010 with Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy and completed an internship with the World Health Organization in 2010, working on the first Global Report for Research on Infectious Diseases of Poverty at TDR.
